Sealing Recessed Lights and ERV Vents in Second Floor Bathrooms with Unvented Attic
I have 4 inches of closed cell foam on rafters of my roof (unvented attic), with 3 inches of CC foam in exterior walls of my house. Should I put can light covers over the recessed bathroom lights in the attic (from the second floor bathrooms) and foam around them to keep the moisture contained to the bathrooms?I have balanced ERV system with outflow vents in each bathroom. Those are right next to the can lights and will be getting sealed in floor of attic. Some people I have spoken to recommend that the "Hot Roof" model allow for free flow of air from the second floor to the attic; but what about excess moisture from the bathrooms (I have 3 women in my house). |
