textured coating
Mason, Do you know of any coatings that after being applied will leave a textured look? A customer had his building spratfoamed in the late 70's on the outside, he would like the whole building looking the same. Thanks

One way to obtain a textured look in exterior coating is to add granules to the final coat. This is typically done on roofing applications to increase the impact and abrasion resistance of the roof system and to add a nonskid surface in walkways.

3M makes a ceramic granule that can be purchased in a variety of colors to match the exterior of the building. Try contacting your local SPF roofing supplier for more information on where to purchase it and how to install it to the wet coating.

Polyurea's can be sprayed with a textured look and may even spray through your existing equipment.

There are also a lot of newer hybrid materials that contain an acrylic. The texture these products put out with very little effort is amazing.

I don't know that either of these coatings would suit an exposed outside surface of that magnitude, but it is something worth looking into.
