to spray inside or out
I'm dealing with a building with mass concrete wall which houses a large heated pool. The condensation has caused serious mold problems. There are a lot of existing pipework and fittings on the internal wall, too much to move. I'm wondering about spraying the outside of the building and then protecting the foam with render? As regards the preparation on the concrete, it's a smooth, precast wall which doesn't ever seem to completely dry, especially this time of year. Will it need any special preparation?

Wet concrete is a terrible substrate, are you brand new to this?

Yeah, it's a DIY job using kits. The concrete has set over 6 months ago but because of the weather and time of year it does tend to be damp most days. Just how dry does it need to be?

You have 3 options:

#1 Wait till summer.
#2 Spray from the inside.
#3 Call a profesional.

Hope this helps.

What do you mean, "how dry"..?

This isn't a job for a DIYer.

The surface needs to be dry any water will react with the “A” side chem. and form CO2 gas causing the closed cell foam to bubble up and become open cell foam with poor cell structure,

For less than the cost of the DIY kits you should be able to get a pro to spray the foam that you need ask the contractor if you can do the prep and clean up to save yourself some money.

Also you never get all the yield that they say you will out of kits and yields are always 10-20% less on cold concrete.

Hope this helps
