walk in cooler
Hey guys, I have a customer wanting to spray foam a cooler. (meat locker) This will be my first cooler, but I'm looking forward to it and want to do it right. I'm asking for general suggestions from those that have experience doing coolers. vapor barrier on the warm side? What else? I think it will be framed up with wood stud walls. Thanks |

6-Mil poly on the warm side. 4" Of closed cell foam. If they stagger frame the walls, that will eliminate thermal shorts. Have fun. oG |

Go to monolithic.com, goto site map, scroll down to energy savings and click on "R" Fairy Tall--Myth of insulation's R-Value. The best I've read on insulation by David South. He's sprayed maybe more potato storages than anyone and also many large scale freezer warehouses (to minus 20 F). It's in laymens terms and a must read for anyone in the insulation business. |
