McCune Construction Services Group of Fort Worth, Texas, was constructing a 26,000 square foot KidMania facility in Plano, Texas. The company needed good insulation to seal and insulate the cavernous steel-framed structure with high ceilings. It also needed the insulation to be installed quickly and efficiently in order to keep the entire project on schedule.
McCune contacted Five Star Foam, a Rhino Linings insulation contractor. Five Star Foam suggested a combination of DuraTite 2.0 closed-cell insulation and BioBased 501w open-cell insulation for the job. DuraTite 2.0 reduces vapor drive and adds structural strength to the steelframed structure, while BioBased 501w open-cell insulation helps cost-effectively reach the desired R-value.
