Restoration projects don’t always go as initially planned. Quite often, different challenges arise in which contractors must improvise to get the job done. When it comes to spray foam roofing systems, most installation complications are derived from environmental constraints: heavy rain, volatile temperatures, or high winds that lead to overspray, or volatile temperatures.
Similarly, seasonal climate issues led to Weathertight Installations (WTI) opting for a two-part roof restoration at Arco Industries, a New York-based sheet metal manufacturing company, where the onset of winter dictated a six-month break between project phases. Arco’s roof displayed sustained damage in the form of blisters, cracks, and fractures that had given way to pooling on the roof and leaking inside the building.
